Feasibility
The Feasibility stage is the initial phase where the practicality and viability of a proposed project are assessed. During this stage I will evaluate factors such as budget, the scope of work, site conditions and potential challenges. The goal is to determine whether the project can be successfully executed within the given constraints and to outline a realistic plan for moving forwards. This stage often involves preliminary space planning and cost estimates to ensure that the project is both achievable and aligned with your vision.
Concept
The concept stage is where the creative vision for the project begins to take shape. During this stage we will develop and present initial ideas through various software's and tools to help you visualise the proposed design. This includes creating reference images that capture the desired aesthetic, drafting layout plans that outline the functional flow of the space, and construct a 3D model or sketch to reflect realistic prospective of the design. Additionally, a sample board is curated for each area, showcasing materials, colours, textures and finishes that will be used. Giving a tactile sense of the design and overall look and feel.
Design Development
The design development stage is where the initial concept is refined and detailed, transforming into a fully realised plan. At this stage we will produce comprehensive flooring plans that specify materials and layout. Lighting and electrical plans are also created, detailing the placement of fixtures, switches and sockets to optimise functionality and ambiance. Elevations are drawn up to provide a clear room view of the many elements of the space, such as wall finishes and joinery. Additionally, costing documentation are prepared for bespoke items, including custom furniture and window treatments. This stage ensures that every detail is accounted for, aligning the design with both the client's vision and budget before construction begins.
Procurements & Costings F,F&E
The procurements & costing F,F&E (Furniture, Fixtures and Equipment) stage involves sourcing and acquiring all the necessary items to bring the project to life. As part of this process, we will produce detailed shopping lists. We can directly purchase items on behalf of the client and offer competitive pricing.
Site meetings & Communications
Site meetings and communications are crucial to ensuring that your project stays on track. As part of this service, we will regularly visit site to monitor progress, answering questions, addressing any issues, and coordinating with contractors. These site visits are essential to maintaining the quality and accuracy of the work. The costs will cover both my travel expenses, and the time spent on site.
O&M Manual
An O&M manual (Operations and Maintenance) manual is an essential document that will be provided to clients at the completion of a project. This manual includes detailed instructions on how to care for and maintain various elements within the space, such as proper cleaning methods for curtains, flooring, and other materials ensuring their longevity and appearance. For commercial projects the O&M manual will also include crucial Fire Resistance (FR) certificates for furnishings and finishes, which are necessary for compliance with safety regulations. This guide will help preserve the quality of your interiors while meeting all legal requirements, making it a valuable resource for the ongoing upkeep of the space.
